说明：湖州沈迈士先生，为名门望族，其族沈秉成，官至督抚，父瑞琳、母龚韵珊均擅书画。曾任职北洋政府外交部佥事科，北伐以后，任浙江省政府秘书，因不满官场腐败，遂鬻书画为生。善山水取法沈周，指画为其一绝。此幅有金农冬心古拙之风，画风苍润，为海派书画之名宿。
