Two Chinese Precious Stone Buddha's Hand Citron-Form Pendants 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY the first an amber example of caramelized honey tones, carved with curling tendrils borne from a slender leafy branch, pierced and suspended from a 10k gold chain; the second a pale celadon jadeite example finely carved to show the apple green variegated fruit and bat suspended on five interlocking rings opposite a monkey clutching a peach. Length of longer 4 1/2 in., 11.5 cm. Property from a Private Collector, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin The jadeite example purchased from Ashkenazie & Co., San Francisco, September 1995.
