The compressed globular body rising from a short foot to a gently flared rim, flanked at the shoulders by a pair of mythical beast handles, the base with a Yu Tang Qing Wan mark. 以精銅提煉熔鑄，銅色紅潤，爐壁厚實，通體光滑圓潤，素體無紋，雙獸耳，腹圓柔美， 曲線優雅。“玉堂清玩”款識，為私家款，是嚴嵩之子嚴東樓的字號，趙汝珍說，嚴氏之爐 皆系劫取宣爐之無款者，充為己有，非其所製。整體鑄造精致，造型古雅端莊。
