Of rectangular form, one face decorated with the kui star standing over the sea, the reverse carved with a poetic inscription and ending with two seal marks, all below two archaistic dragons, the stone of an even white color. 筆架以五嶽山為形，文曲星獨佔鰲頭立海水江崖之上，寓意美好，有高中狀元之意。其形古拙大氣，銅質優良，包漿醇熟，底部“宣德年制”方款。
