A Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt Bronze Mounted Kingwood and Tulipwood Pedestal Desk François Linke, late 19th/early 20th century The rectangular top with rounded corners inset with gilt and tooled leather writing surface, over three drawer frieze raised on twin pedestals, the central drawer stamped 'F. Linke' to side, each pedestal with rectangular cupboard door flanked by fluted and capped pilasters, the left cupboard doors opens to two shelves, the right door opens to three slides, raised on round tapering feet and sabots, the back of the lockplates stamped 'Duvivier Paris 77, Rue Ste. Antoine.' (H: 29 1/4, W: 55, D: 28 in.) Provenance Collection of Robert & Barbara Safford, Vaux Hill, Audubon, Pennsylvania. Freeman’s, September 25, 2013, lot 153.
