A Chinese Export Silver Five-Piece Tea and Coffee Service Zee Sung, Shanghai, circa 1920s Comprising a teapot, coffeepot, creamer, covered sugar, tongs, and two-handled tray, each chased with bamboo motif. (6). (H: 8 in. (coffeepot); L: 23, W: 12 3/4 in. (tray); Total weight: 127.6 oz. t.) Provenance Private Collection, Long Island, New York. Condition report: With general surface scratches and wear, commensurate with age and use. Oxidation present in some areas, especially handles and the tray, would benefit from further cleaning. Gilt wash to interior of creamer and sugar mostly intact. The tray with additional heavier scratches, wear, and oxidation (some spots of pitting). Each piece marked. All the cartouches without engraving/monogramming.
