An Impressive Stained Lead Glass Ceiling Light Shade 20th century In the form of an inverted pyramid, each side with green, blue, and red stained panes to show a foliate design. (H: 23, W: 48, D: 48 in.) Provenance Collection of Robert & Barbara Safford, Vaux Hill, Audubon, Pennsylvania. Freeman’s, Philadelphia, September 25, 2013, lot 215. Acquired directly from the above sale. Private Collection, Long Island, New York. Condition report: Occasional hairline cracks to individual stained glass pieces; three areas of notable separation within shade panels. One broken piece of rectangular glass border, in line with separating border section. Surface rust to metal support frame. Surface dirt and organic debris present. Currently housed within a custom-built wooden support frame, which is stable yet also worn.
