PROVENANCE: From collections of Victor J. Drack Jr. (1934-2019) of Kinnelon, St. Augustine, FL. A telecommunication Engineer, a successful businessman in Northern Florida. In the initial years following his retirement he and his wife traveled extensively around the world to many countries. He put interest in collecting glass art, especially antique Peking glass and his late wife became an avid collector and had added more than 40 pieces. Dimensions: Weight: 410g, Height: 10 cm, Diam.: 6.5 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Red Mountain Landscape Motif Peking Glass Carved Brush Pot. The glass crafted in sturdily cylindrical straight body, thick, deep curvature, round mouth rim, raised on flat round foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against ruby red fine color, depicted of dense trees , rocky rock, Lishui rivers, HuaSan mountain and waterfall, all in salubrious mountain landscape. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four blue script characters reign mark Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
