After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres. This porcelain potted with in a pot shape, thick , short neck, wide flaring round mouth rim, raise on reverse bowl with splayed foot base and deep concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of scrolling interlocking Ruyi and tendril, enclosed with rectangles auspicious petals. With deep and light glaze rendering, these blue and white patterns show up an ink painting artistic effect.
