In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres. Dimensions: Height: 28.5 cm, Diam.: 25 cm Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Bajixiang Motif Porcelain Moon Flask Vase. The porcelain potted in moon vase, thick and tall, globular moon lower belly, straight cylindrical neck, round slight flaring mouth rim, flanked two archaic branch on the neck to shoulder, raised on rectangles foot base with slight concave footing. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white color which contrast against blue design color, depicted of octagonal petals filled with Bajixiang symbols. Enclosed with repeating key fret and thrashing Lishui waves. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim
