(British 1784-1849) Naples, possibly from the Bay of Sorrento Black chalk and watercolour heightened with white chalk on grey paper; together with six further works by or attributed to Peter de Wint of various subjects including, the interior of St Martin's Cathedral, Leicester, a river scene, study of pots, a hay cart, a tree in a landscape at Bonsall, Derbyshire Various sizes All unframed (7) Leonard Gordon Duke notes that there is an inscription on the verso of the first work in this lot, by M.F. Bentinck where he writes this 'is a copy from my original sketch'. PROVENANCE The View of Naples: M. F.
