方胜纹是汉代传统寓意纹饰。胜原为古代汉族神话中“西王母“所戴的发饰。方胜图案及方胜盒在漆器中较为常见，明清以来已成为吉祥图案中常见的纹饰之一。此剔红盒作方胜式样，形为两个菱形压角相迭，平顶盖，矮直壁，平底，子母口扣合。盒内部与底部髹黑漆，光润纯正。以花卉纹装饰，色似琥珀，富贵华丽，匠心独具。
