A lacquer four-case inro After Shibata Zeshin (1807-1891), 19th century The rounded oval body with a dark olive green ground lacquered with a conical chawan (tea bowl) resting in an open oi (travelling box) with a rosary hanging over the door, a wide straw hat and bamboo cane on the reverse, among delicately engraved wind-blown grasses and wild flowers, inscribed Zeshin, with a silver and shakudo marbled ojime; and a lacquered wood hako netsuke lacquered with dandelions, signed illegibly. 7cm (2¾in) high.
