The sturdily potted brush pot is of cylindrical form and is decorated on the exterior in rich tones of under glaze blue with a continuous scene scholars on ride qilin, with the iron-red glazed decorated. The landscape extends around the other side of the vessel to show a painterly view of landscape from rolling waves to plantation. The flat base is unglazed, with center bearing under glazed six-character Kangxi. Height 15.8cm Diameter 18.5cm
