An early 20th century silver and gold, seed pearl and diamond floral necklace, with platinum back-chain.Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 1.15cts, predominantly H-I colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Length 43.5cms. 8.6gms. Overall condition good to fair. General light to moderate marks and wear, in keeping with age. Evidence of possible minor repairs or alterations to the reverse. Set predominantly with old-cut diamonds. Some of the smaller diamonds are rose-cuts. Diamonds generally appear bright and in god condition. Few with typical small nicks and abrasions. Few diamonds appear below I colour and P1 clarity. Seed pearls are a slightly silvery white hue, with some rose and greenish overtones. Seed pearls in good condition, with minor abrasions. One with glue visible to the setting. Length of gem-set section 9cms. Front section tests as silver to the top and approximately 12ct gold to the reverse. Chain tests as platinum.
