Rectangular bottle, slightly wider at the top than bottom. A short spout in one corner and a handle moulded in form of chrysanthemum spray in underglaze blue with red, pink, green, aubergine and black enamels with gold. Decorated with pine, flowering peach tree and geometric shapes. Round two opposing corners are asymmetrical horizontal cloud-stripes in underglaze blue. 14.6 by 22 by 7 cm. Note: A similar bottle can be found in the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Refs. Japanese export porcelain, by Oliver Impey. The middle period, P186 Item 295 and P206 Item 342.
