A BURMA NO HEAT SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING, VAN CLEEF & ARPELS in 18ct yellow gold, set with an oval cut sapphire of 7.10 carats within a cluster of round cut diamonds, the band set with three rows of further round cut diamonds to each side, signed Van Cleef & Arpels (signature partly obscured due to resizing of the band) and numbered, French maker's mark for Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay mark, size R / 8.5, 9.6g. Accompanied by a gemmological report stating that the sapphire is of Burmese (Myanmar) origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
