|笔管胎体轻薄，通体髹黑漆。笔管、笔套皆采用色调深浅不同的金彩加之螺钿嵌刻描绘金龙。笔套整体色彩斑斓，金碧辉煌，深具帝王风范与华丽富贵之气息，是制作极为考究的明代宫廷御用笔。谚云：笔之寿以日计，墨之寿以月计，纸之寿以年计，砚之寿以世计，可知藏笔之难能可贵矣。本品于小巧笔管之上不辞劳苦嵌以螺钿，更为难得。
