Footnote: William Spurrier was established in 1844, participating in the 1851 Great Exhibition and in the 1862 International Exhibition. In 1867 the firm was active at 4-5 Newhall Street, Birmingham and in 1883 at 81 Colmore Row, Birmingham and Wool Exchange Coleman Street, London where they were advertised as 'Silversmiths and Electroplaters'.
