Late 19th century Danish silver drinking horn and cover, the body with hexagonal and beaded finial, raised upon two talon feet and further scroll foot, chased with scrolling foliate and zoomorphic bands, the detachable domed cover with conforming decoration surmounted by a figure holding a hammer, the cover interior impressed with maker's mark (partly worn and indistinct), alongside Danish Three Towers mark for 1881, with the Assay Master mark for Simon Groth (1863-1904), H23.5cm, weight 14.75 ozt (459 grams)
