A Gilt Wood Figure of Seated Guanyin 17TH/18TH CENTURY 清早期 木漆金觀音像 the Bodhisattva carved seated upright with a wide stance, and feet firmly planted, wearing layers of high waisted garments and draping shawls, the bare chest with a lock-form pendant. The hands held high to show a petite bottle vase in the left hand, and face finely carved with a soft benevolent expression beneath simply coiffed hair. Height 8 1/8 in., 20.5 cm.
