An early 20th century French 'Le Taxiphote stéréo classeur' stereoscopic viewer by Jules Richard, the mahogany case having hinged lid and lower hinged door opening to reveal a slide storage area with trays, two adjustable levers to either side of eye-pieces for focus, changing lever for the re-loading cartridge and handles to either side, with various attached labels including instructions in English, to include approx 20 slides (some in glass and some loose) comprising topographical views, London landmarks and animals, together with some unused glass slides, the trays within the storage area stamped J. RICHARD CONSTRUCTEUR PARIS, h.48cm, base dimensions 28 x 28cm
