An Edo period Japanese five-case gold lacquered Inro, the curved rectangular body hiramaki-e decorated with gilt chrysanthemums in gold leaf and silver gilt (worn), the interior compartments having nashiji lacquer decoration, signed Kajikawa-saku (梶川作) for the renowned Kajikawa family of lacquerware artists to the base with red seal mark, 9cm, probably 19th century, on cord drawstring Condition report: Gold leaf lifting in several places.
