One early Chinese terracotta warrior. Evidence of faded polychrome decoration including pale blue on the trousers, black on the top of the head, and a red hexagonal pattern on the robe. One arm is raised upwards in a fist while the other is spread behind him. One leg stretches forward while the other bends at the knee behind him. On a terracotta base. With labels from Christie's and John Sparks Ltd. adhered along the underside of the base. Provenance: Collection of Bruce Dayton & Ruth Stricker Dayton, Minnesota.
