The box and cover with straight upright sides, the top of the cover with a raised circular panel, the partly glazed base is concave. Made from rolled and flattened layers of dark and light clay, covered with a transparent amber glaze. Provenance: From a private estate in Bath, United Kingdom. Condition: Very good condition with old wear and firing flaws, the interior with a small chip to one edge.
