拍品造型、装饰与《西清续鉴乙编》卷九所载汉蟠夔壶二殊为相类，或遵此古铜器为模本铸造而成，两侧贴塑衔环吞龙耳，形制硕大，铜质精纯，包浆厚重。颈、肩、腹及近足处均以云雷纹为锦地，其上浮雕夔龙、夔凤纹，纹饰古雅，线条爽利，铸造工艺精湛，龙凤双眼、须发等出以错金银装饰，颇具画龙点睛之妙，金银色泽华美，与铜身对比强烈，装饰繁缛奢华。
