“墨緣齋製”為顧景洲早期初製水平壺壺用印款。因家境困窘，生活所逼，顧景洲祖母說服顧炳榮，在1932年初帶顧景洲學製水平茶壺。數月後，顧景洲學成後自製水平茶壺，即在壺底使用“墨緣齋製”印款。接著又在壺底使用“墨緣齋景堂製”印款，並在壺把或壺蓋上使用“景記”印款。後又接用“墨緣齋意堂製”印款，把款用“景記”印款。壺款俱是顧景洲親自鐫刻，表明了顧景洲喜美術，習書法，好舞文弄墨之誌向，並用壺來反映其自己的這一觀點。
