陳淳（1483-1544），字道復，後以字行，更字復甫，號白陽，又號白陽山人，長洲（今江蘇蘇州）人，明代繪畫大師，繼沈周、唐寅之後對水墨寫意花鳥畫的發展作出了重要貢獻。作畫以元人為法，深受水墨寫意的影響。從師文徵明，在其門下聲譽最高。擅長寫意花卉，其作品雖表現一花半葉，卻淋漓疏爽，深受當時文人士大夫的贊賞。
