According to ‘Gordon’s Art Reference’ the auction record for another impression of this object is $3,120 at Swann Auction Galleries, New York City, 11/12/15, lot #189. This image was created for an advertisement in "Interview" magazine and the "New York Times Magazine", September 1982 ,which in turn was then turned into an original in-store display created on commission for use in the famed Halston boutiques. It was never intended for sale to the public. Halston, the famous fashion designer, was a member of Warhol's inner circle.
