Comment(s): The offset lithograph is the dust jacket of the book “Goethe: Selected Poems,” edited by Christopher Middleton and published in 1983. Warhol’s signature could be easily clipped if desired. A clipped Warhol signature of approximately the same size as our example sold at auction for $3,351 (€2,574) at Cornette de Saint Cyr, Paris, 10/21/2012, lot #310.
