Henry Cliffe, British 1919-1983 - Abstract Forms; bronze with green patina, four pieces, stamped with initials and numbered '7/9', 15.5 x 8 x 5.7 cm and smaller (4) (ARR) Provenance: purchased from the Estate of the Artist by the present owner Note: Henry Cliffe was an admired artist and teacher at the Bath Academy of Art in Corsham, Wiltshire, working alongside William Scott, Terry Frost and Peter Lanyon during the 1950s and 60s. He exhibited twice at the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, in 1954 with Ben Nicholson, Francis Bacon and Lucien Freud, and in 1960 with Victor Pasmore and Eduardo Paolozzi.
