A Chinese famille verte-decorated porcelain brush pot 五彩笔筒 Kangxi period 清 康熙 One third of the body painted with landscapes including a scholar and a boatman visiting the chi bi (Red Cliff) among pine trees, rocks, and grasses; the rest inscribed with a poem echoing the painting alluding to the renowned poet Su Shi (1037-1101), signed and dated "ren chen" year, probably equivalent to 1712, with an old label to the underside.
