陳蓮濤（1901-1994）浙江鄞縣人。號虎道人、海石翁，上海著名國畫家，他擅畫貓，自號“貓癡”，有“江南貓王”的美譽。生前為上海文史館館長，其藝術成就在《近現代書畫家款印總匯》、《中國當代國畫家辭典》等著述中均有記錄。曾與張大壯、江寒汀、鄭慕康等人創辦“大觀雅集”畫室，擅畫山水、人物、花鳥、走獸，晚年尤擅畫貓，“江南貓王”之名享譽中外，尤以鄧小平收藏並生前掛在辦公室內的《白貓黑貓圖》最為著名。
