PROVENANCE: From Audubon, New Orleans Private Collector. Dimensions: Heigth: 36.4 cm, Diameter: 23.8 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Blue and White Elephant Ear Porcelain Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. Potted in shape vases, large thick and tall, ovoid globular lower body, emerging elephant head flanked on the cylindrical neck, flaring round mouth rim, raised on a short ring foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of dragon with ruyi clouds in round medallions , surrounded wanzi, taotie and auspicious patterns. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
