PROVENANCE: From Audubon, New Orleans Private Collector. Dimensions: Heigth: 3.1 cm, Diameter: 15 cm Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Blue and White Wanzi Porcelain Plates. The plate has a broad wide central interior, thick and round mouth lip, raised on correspondence footed ring base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue and red fine color, depicted of ripe pomegranate surrounded with interlocking wanzi motief and scrolling Ruyi on a medallion. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue ring line. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
