Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Sgrafitto with imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
