PROVENANCE: From Farragut, TN Private Collector. Dimensions: Heigth: 24 cm, Diameter: 12.2 cm Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Ge Kiln Porcelain Large Vase. The porcelain potted in baluster shape vase, large, thick and tall, drum ovoid body, cylindrical neck, with flaring mouth rim, raised on ring foot base with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in greyish underglazed base color which contrast against the Ge design color. Distinctive GE crackled glaze also known as jinsi tiexian which translates to mean gold floss and iron thread which details the look of several lines that appear in the crackled surface. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
