Dimensions: 7-1/4" H x 3-3/8" Dia. Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Douqing glazed willow vase. Potted in large cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in a bulbous body, ovoid belly on middle gently tapered on tall neck toward opening mouth prominent, with slight flaring opening lip, and raised on small round foot base. The Douqing hand painting, all reserved in pale green celadon under glazed ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. Masterfully covered in an even coat of a pale green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The deep green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the receded central interior base left white underglaze.The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the under glaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. Mark on base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, Made in The Years of Kangxi Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
