signed YUANSONGNIAN,inscribed,and with two seals of the artist dated Bingxu year（1946） ink and color on paper, hanging scroll Yuan Songnian,a native of Panyu,Guangdong Province,graduated from St. John's University and a painter of Shanghai Academy of Chinese painting.He studied western painting and thought of making foreign things serve China,creating new Chinese painting,getting rid of the rigid pen and ink mode in traditional painting and using more realistic methods to express landscapes and landscapes.
