18th/19th century Calligraphy by Xu Sizhuang (1793-1865) and Ren Daoren The cuboid bamboo brushpot inscribed with a poem and calligraphy in running script by scholar-officer Xu Sizhuang (1793-1865), 20cm (8in) high; the cylindrical bamboo brushpot carved in low-relief with a buddha and incised with a colophon reading Jiawu layue xuechuang manzuo, Ren Daoren (Leisurely executed this work by the snowy window in the December of the year of Jiawu by Ren Daoren), 16.5cm (6 1/2in) high. (2).FootnotesPlease note this Lot is to be sold at No Reserve 本拍品不設底價 十九世紀 徐思莊款方竹筆筒 及 十八世紀 忍道人款竹雕布袋和尚筆筒 一組兩件 Provenance: Acquired from China Curios Centre, Hong Kong, 1990s (by repute) The Yanqinzhai Collection, Hong Kong 來源: 1990年代購於香港大雅古玩(據藏家) 香港硯琴齋珍藏 方柱筆筒成型天然,四壁略內凹,三面陰刻行書詩句「墨雲過雨月正黑,手摘虛空了無迹。一架縱橫碧落秋,戒壇池上僧戶側。」署款「龍南徐思莊」,鈐印「思莊」。 徐思莊(1793—1865), 江西龍南人, 字柳臣,號孟舒。清道光二年(1822年)進士。歷任戶部福建司主事、翰林院庶吉士等,官至山東按察使。精於書法,採歐、趙等眾家之長,自成一家,京都人稱為「徐派」。 圓形筆筒淺浮雕布袋和尚一軀,陰刻款識「甲午臘月雪窗漫作,忍道人」。
