18th Century Of rectangular form, the slightly domed cover hinged with the back of the box, the straight sides finely carved with a thin raised band along the rim, same to the rim of the cover, the front embellished with a circular metal lock plate set with a lobed ruyi-shaped clasp, the sides set with a pair of baitong handles suspending from small circular roundels, the corners and edges mounted with baitong protectors, the top of the cover decorated with ruyi-shaped mounts, the wood patinated with dark reddish-brown colour. 13.8cm (5in) high x 31cm (12 1/4in) wide x 17.5cm (7in) deep.FootnotesPlease note this Lot is to be sold at No Reserve 本拍品不設底價 十八世紀 紫檀包銅箱 Provenance: Acquired from China Curios Centre, Hong Kong, 1990s (by repute) The Yanqinzhai Collection, Hong Kong 來源: 1990年代購於香港大雅（據藏家） 香港硯琴齋珍藏 紫檀為材，箱蓋及箱身口沿起燈草線，余皆光素，立墻四角包裹銅葉，蓋頂四角鑲釘雲紋銅飾件，正面圓面葉，拍子雲頭形，兩側安提環。
