19th century Of slender hollow cylindrical shape, deftly carved in openwork and high relief with a continuous scene of two ladies seated by a rock table in a fenced garden, both reading from a scroll in one lady's hand, the reverse with a pine and rock landscape, the bamboo of a honey brown colour, mounted with horn top and base. 17.5cm (7in) high.
