A CARVED QINGBAI 'LOTUS' VASE, MEIPING Southern Song Dynasty The ovoid body rising from a narrow tapered foot to a broad rounded shoulder surmounted by a short neck narrowing to a double rim mouth, the body freely carved with a large foliate scroll, enclosed with incised concentric double-line borders at the foot and shoulder, covered overall with a pale bluish glaze, stopping neatly before the foot, revealing the white body. 26cm (10 1/4in) high
