Y A French kingwood and gilt-metal mounted bureau plat, in Louis XV style, late 19th/early 20th century, of serpentine outline, with a tooled leather inset above three frieze drawers and opposing false drawers, on cabriole legs, 76cm high, 115cm wide, 66cm deep Condition Report: Marks, scratches, veneer cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use. The locks probably replaced as the drawer lining bases have sections cut around the base of the lock. The leather inset is later and does not neatly fit the recess for the inset. Some speckled dotting to the finish on the crossbanding. Oak drawer linings. Some gilt metal mounts loose to the feet. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
