A mid-18th century German porcelain snuff box, circa 1760 Of bombe form painted, the domed lid painted with a Watteau scene of two couples against a pillar topped with an urn edged with rocaille C scrolls reserved with a green painted peacock eye background. The sides with figures in the foreground with houses or a castle in the background, reserved the same. The interior of lid painted with a vignette of a woman in a bonnet sewing a section of pink taffeta silk. The unmarked silver mounts with crimped gilt interior and a stand-away hinge.
