An early 20th century Anglo - Indian unmarked silver comport or fruit stand, Bombay circa 1930 Raj period, of dished circular form upon a pedestal base with a domed circular foot. The circular section with a pierced rim following architraves of leaves flanked by foliate scrolls. The architraves with embossed decoration of village houses and harbours between palm trees as well as a scene of a steam train with carriage over a viaduct, all centred with a vacant circular cartouche with stylised leaf form border. The foot with a central stem chased in fish scale pattern, and the domed section with village houses.
