A large early 20th century Siamese (Thai) silver cigarette box, probably Bangkok circa 1930 Of rectangular form, the lid with an embossed central figure of Rahu the snake demon reserved with flame motif (kranok), all edged with stylised leaves. The sides with thepanom figures reserved with flame motif (kranok). Wood lined interior. Marked underneath with two Chinese character artisan marks. Length – 21.5 cm / 8.75 inches
