An early 20th century Iranian (Persian) unmarked silver small tray, Shiraz circa 1910 Qajar dynasty, of rectangular form with rounded corners, the ovolo edge with chased monabbat-kari decoration of flowers with nightingales gol-o bolbol. The applied twin handles formed as C scrolls. The field with flat chased and engraved ghalam zani decoration of a seated King Darius trampling probably Nidintu-Bêl, the defeated Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar III, with emissaries and fan bearers in attendance, Ahriman approaching from the corner.
