A mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) silver tray, Isfahan circa 1950 Pahlavi dynasty, of rectangular form with rounded corners with deep chased monabbat-kari flower heads. The field with engraved ghalam zani and chased decoration of a central circular medallion within a lobed frame infilled with arabesques and foliage, all reserved with peony sprays attended to by long tailed birds, lattice work panels and vignettes with peonies and foliate scrolls, all edged with a rosette border. Marked to the upper centre of the field with workshop mark combined with standard mark (۸۴). Length – 35.5 cm / 13.95 inches Weight – 825 grams / 26.52 ozt
