A George III sterling silver twin handled cup, London 1808 by Peter and William Bateman Of rounded circular form upon a spreading foot, with applied hollow C scroll handles. The body with later embossed decoration of a cartouche for ed as an unfurled manuscript between two flags, otherwise with foliate scrolls and rose heads alongside shamrocks and thistles as emblems of the United Kingdom.
